Shoe boutique comes to Hyde Park Village
HYDE PARK — The law profession's loss could be Tampa shoe fashionistas' gain.
Lawyer Victoria Bowa said turning 30 this week prompted her to do some soul-searching, leading to Navy, a women's shoe, jewelry and handbag boutique in Hyde Park Village. Bowa expects to open Aug. 9 in the horseshoe corridor behind the Wine Exchange.
Bowa, who is licensed to practice law in Pennsylvania and New Jersey, decided to pursue a fashion career three years after graduating from Stetson University College of Law.
"Sandals to stilettos ... we'll have a range of shoe styles from $50 to $500," she said, noting the store's name implies "preppy to sophisticated."
Look for trendy brands such as L.K. Bennett, ("Princess Kate's faves"), up-and-coming designer Loeffler Randall and Joie, as well as accessories by Cristina V, and Loren Hope.
"Tampa is very fashion conscious, but really didn't have a shoe boutique like this," Bowa said. "This is much more intimate and fun than shopping at the mall."
Navy, 1607 W Snow Circle, will be open 10 a.m. to 7 p.m. Monday through Saturday and noon to 5 p.m. Sunday, Visit navyhydepark.com or call (813) 336-2010.
