Downtown Dogs Retail Associate | Part Time

Our dynamic pet boutique is looking for a retail associate who enjoys working with people and has a love for dogs! The retail associate position will assist customers by providing product recommendations, answering questions, and exploring new product options. The ideal candidate for this position is outgoing and has experience working in retail or restaurants and has a strong dedication to providing exceptional service.

Responsibilities

• Engage and assist customers as they shop within the store, including greeting the customers’ pets and offering treat samples, fresh water. 
• Answer questions related to the merchandise and locate items. 
• Process payments and keep the sales floor tidy and well-stocked at all times.
• Assist in maintaining the back-stock room and setting up merchandise displays on the sales floor. 
• Capture fun Instagram moments within the store with customers and pets to share on companies’ social channels. 
• Collaborate with team members, help plan fun in-store activations

Qualifications and Skills 

• High School diploma preferred
• Happy and carrying a positive attitude 
• Ability to work well on team, as well as be comfortable working independently at times
• Must be able to work some weekends and holidays
• Excellent verbal and written communication skills 
• Must be able to lift up to 35 lbs. (largest bag of dog food)
